Is this tire suitable for highway driving? Would love to know more about its durability on paved roads.
Thank you for reaching out, Lynn! The Mitas Touring Force 130/70-13 tire is primarily designed for off-road riding and adventure travel, but it can still handle highway driving. However, its durability on paved roads may vary depending on your ride style and road conditions. On average, this tire should last around 10,000 to 15,000 miles before needing replacement. If you plan to use it extensively on highways, we recommend checking the tire’s tread depth regularly to ensure optimal performance. I’m blown away by the performance of this tire! It’s like it was made for my bike, with incredible grip and handling on both paved and unpaved roads. I’ve taken it on some rough terrain and it’s handled everything I threw at it like a champ. Well worth the price tag!
I was skeptical about the quality of this tire, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s been a while since I’ve had to replace my tires and this one has exceeded my expectations. The tread pattern is unique and really helps with traction on dirt roads.
What’s the weight of this tire compared to other similar models in the market?
Hi Melissa, thanks for reaching out! The Mitas Touring Force 130/70-13 tire weighs approximately 4.2 kg (9.26 lbs). Compared to other similar models in the market, this tire is relatively lightweight while still providing excellent durability and traction. For reference, some of our customers have reported a slight weight difference compared to other tires in its class, but overall, we believe the Mitas Touring Force 130/70-13 offers an excellent balance between performance and weight.
What a great tire! I’ve used it for both on-road and off-road riding, and it’s performed flawlessly. My only minor gripe is that the sidewalls could be slightly thicker, but that’s just nitpicking. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase.
I’m still deciding whether to keep this tire or not. It’s been okay so far, but I’ve had some issues with the tread wearing down faster than expected. On the other hand, it’s done a great job of handling rough terrain and providing decent grip on dirt roads. I suppose it depends on how much use it gets…
