I’ve been using the DP Brakes Standard for a while now and I’m really impressed with its performance. It’s been a game-changer for my off-road adventures. The heat shield feature is particularly impressive – it keeps my brakes from overheating even in the most extreme conditions. My only minor complaint is that they can be a bit pricey compared to other brake pads on the market, but I think it’s worth the investment. Overall, I’m giving it 4.5 stars!
I was skeptical about spending more money on brake pads, but the DP Brakes Standard has exceeded my expectations. The equal performance in wet or dry conditions is amazing – it’s given me so much more confidence when riding on rainy days. I’ve also noticed that they last a lot longer than my old brake pads. My only question is: are there any plans to release a version for other bike models, like the Yamaha FZ6?

I’ve been using these brake pads on my Honda Forza 300 and I’m really happy with the performance. The sintered metal compound is excellent – it provides a nice, consistent braking feel even in cold or wet conditions. My only minor complaint is that they can be a bit tricky to install, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not too bad. Overall, I’d highly recommend these brake pads to anyone looking for a reliable and durable option.
What’s the deal with the heat shield feature? Does it really make that much of a difference in high-stress conditions? I’ve been using the DP Brakes Standard on my Honda NC 750S and so far, I haven’t noticed any major differences… but I’m not sure if that’s because I don’t ride aggressively enough. Can someone please clarify this for me?
Hello Adrian Lee, Thank you for your review! The heat shield feature on our DP Brakes Standard DP535 is designed to reduce heat transfer into the fluid and prevent brake fade in high-stress conditions. While it may not be noticeable during casual riding, its effects become more apparent when riding aggressively or in extreme weather conditions. In such situations, the ceramic material on the backplate can help maintain consistent braking performance and prolong the life of your brake pads. We’re glad you’ve been enjoying your experience with our product, and we appreciate your honest feedback! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
